Hey there! My photography journey kicked off back in '99 in Winter Park, Florida. I started out rocking affordable and top-notch wedding coverage for couples who appreciated a budget.
Fast forward, and now I'm the go-to gal to photograph everything from maternity glow to family antics, classy and unique senior portraits, and all the glitz of amazing milestone birthday events, one-of-a-kind weddings, and corporate gigs. Lord knows I am thrilled when someone books me for their 2nd wedding, and I also fall extra in love with my nonprofit clients and offer a deep discount for their events so they can afford quality coverage from a seasoned photographer while they raise money for their deepest passions... I've hopped around the American map—Denver, Atlanta, NYC for my clients, even once out of the country: Ireland—but Central Florida's where I've really worked that lens magic.
Oh, and backstory? Ohio-born, Florida-raised from sixteen on, loved my time in Tally, and earned my educational theory and practice degree. Sorry, Gators and Hurricanes, it was all about the Seminoles for me back then!
I have been loving my life in Central FL since '95. My honey-bunny Rob (yes that is a nod to Pulp Fiction) and I married in '97, we had two awesome kids, now young adults, and we have a ridiculous and silly old dog named Percy Peter. Tennis keeps me on my toes and is my exercise of choice, and I get to be fierce now and again. Kids (yours and mine) keep me laughing, and making you feel your best in front of the camera? That's my work joy!
More about why I am and who I am photographically: I firmly believe in the importance of hiring someone who genuinely loves what they do. Over the past two decades and then some, I have dedicated myself to this principle, continually evolving, adjusting, and adapting to meet each client's unique desires and needs, guiding them toward achieving the best photographic outcomes and enjoying the time together. I am beyond blessed that this ended up being my long-time career.
My most favorite minister Jayne, who helped me over the years more than she could ever know, once told me I have the gift of gab (and one of my deceased uncles would be laughing in his grave if he could) and that "gift" I have realized, carries into my work where I have this genuine knack to make each client feel comfortable, to where they trust me and can relax, focusing on my guidance to what will help them look their best. We end up finishing our time together with as much fun and as little drama as possible and the overwhelming majority felt beautiful and happy with their looks. Rarely do people like having their images photographed so I love that I can use my history and knowledge of 20+ years of experience to help my craft. I need to make that connection on a level most photographers either cannot get to mentally or simply do not want to and that makes me stand out from "the others". That, and the fact that it is important to me to have fun with my clients, find something in common, share ideas and laughter, and give them an outstanding final product! I am trying to exude the feeling that every click has a splash of sunshine. Lastly, my A-Type personality helps me beat the time promised until you get your product. Oh, and it's 99.9% of the time less than a week... yes, even for weddings and events!
With love and a little lens flair, Jen Adams
